How ACT Dealers (reference) works — and what it is not.
What we are
ACT Dealers (reference) is an online marketplace, advertising, and lead-generation platform. We connect buyers, sellers, and dealers and provide AI-assisted information tools. That is the entire scope of our service.
What we are NOT
ACT Dealers (reference) is not a dealer, broker, auctioneer, dealer's agent, or party to any transaction. We do not buy, sell, own, inspect, store, transport, or take title to or possession of any vehicle. We are not licensed as a dealer or broker and do not act as one.
Listings belong to the seller
All listings are advertisements created by the sellers or dealers, who are solely responsible for their content, accuracy, legality, pricing, and condition claims — and for holding any license, permit, bond, or registration their sale requires (e.g., DMV dealer licensing; DOT/FMCSA for commercial vehicles).
Transactions happen off-platform, between the parties
All inquiries, negotiations, inspections, payments, financing, title transfer, and closing occur directly between buyer and seller, off the platform. ACT Dealers (reference) does not process payments, hold funds or escrow, guarantee any sale, or participate in the deal.
How we are paid
ACT Dealers (reference) charges subscription and advertising fees for access and visibility. We never take a commission, finder's fee, or any share of a sale price, and our fee does not depend on whether a transaction occurs.
AI tools are information, not advice
Pricing estimates, market summaries, recalls, and listing suggestions are automated, informational, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not appraisals, inspections, guarantees, or professional, legal, or financial advice. Verify everything (VIN, title, history, condition) independently before you commit.
Your responsibility
Buyers and sellers are responsible for their own due diligence and for complying with all applicable laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ACT Dealers (reference) disclaims liability for the parties' conduct, the items advertised, and the outcome of any transaction.
